Kadamba Queen at Cannes

Inspired by Goan women, eminent fashion designer Verma D’Mello recently showcased her collection ‘Kadamba Queen’ at the 69th Cannes Film Fashion in France

The coronation took place at the 69th Cannes Film Fashion and iconic French actress Fiona Gelin of the film Elle was Goa’s ‘Kadamba Queen’ for the evening, after she paraded the royal collection of Goan designer Verma D’Mello.

Gelin – acclaimed for her role in Frankenstein 90 in 1984, Amantide-Scirocco in 1987 and Parole de Flic in 1985 – took pride in wearing D’Mello’s creation. It was lights, camera, action and attire at the Radisson Blu in chic Cannes, France, home to movie stars and directors during its world famous film festival in May, but it was also the models who drew cheers and applause.
