Goa goes for gold

Goa Tourism is taking up new projects and initiatives to make the state one of the best tourist destinations in the world. There are various developmental and infrastructural changes being taken up by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) for the beautification and development of the state, which has bagged several awards for innovative ideas and unique way of promoting tourism

Multi-level car park inaugurated Union defence minister Manohar Parrikar recently launched the first-of-its-kind multi-level car park in Goa. Also present at the event were chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar, Tourism minister Dilip Parulekar, chairman of the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) Nilesh Cabral, Panaji MLA and chairman of the Economic Development Corporation Siddharth Kunkolienkar, chief secretary R K Srivastava, managing director of GTDC Nikhil Desai and director of Tourism Sanjeev Gauns Dessai.

The much awaited commissioning  of the mega multi-level parking project was done by Parrikar who has been instrumental in backing Goa Tourism’s initiatives for augmenting infrastructure and other tourism initiatives during the last three to four years.
