Ace badminton star PV Sindhu opens up about her journey into the world of sports
She created history by being the first Indian woman to win medals back-to-back at the World Badminton Championship. P V Sindhu is the unsung girl who shone bright when she brought home the silver medal at the Summer Olympics 2016, the first Indian woman to do so.
Her excellent performance helped her bag India’s highest civilian honour, the Padma Shri, making her the youngest recipient of the award. P V Sindhu is also known for her relentless perseverance and dedication towards the game which is an inspiration to many young minds.

How old were you when you took up sports? And what made you choose badminton?
I was around eight and half years when I chose to play badminton as I liked this sport where one can excel solo instead of a team sport.
