Parrikar releases VIVA GOA 7th anniversary issue

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar released the bumper VIVA GOA 7th anniversary issue which features him on the cover. Also present during the launch were additional solicitor general of India Atmaram Nadkarni, advocate general of Goa Dattaprasad Lawande and editor & publisher of VIVA GOA Kedar Dhume.

The cover story features Parrikar’s return to the state in a haze of political strategising, sacrificing a highly coveted post as defence minister of India to become chief minister of Goa for the fourth time. He chats about life at centre, including the famous surgical strike and lists seven top points from his agenda for Goa, a numerical coincidence to VIVA GOA’s 7th anniversary.
The 228-page bumper issue featured exclusive articles by governor of Goa Dr Mridula Sinha, additional solicitor general of India Adv Nadkarni, former Newsweek United Nations bureau chief Patricia Sethi and other contributors including eminent gynecologist and obstetrician Dr Kedar Padte, renowned fashion consultant Meher Castelino, architect Tallulah D’Silva, nutritionist Rohini Diniz, reiki & alternate healer Darpan Kaur and a host of others.
The bumper issue also features an interview with former commissioner of Mumbai Police of Goan origin Julio Rebeiro on life as India’s top cop; Udayraj Gadnis, the only Goan artist to exhibit at the British Parliament on India’s 70th Independence Day; Aishwarya Vishwajit Rane on Wings of Hope, her new initiative for people with disabilities.
