Cidade’s Barbeque reopens for the season

Cidade de Goa’s Barbeque, a beach-front open air restaurant which looks out at the Arabian Sea at Dona Paula, has reopened for the season. It offers an ambiance of dancing palm trees, gusts of soft whispering wind and a calming view of the waves. The warmth from the coals and the whiff of grilling delights under cool open skies envelope guests in a feeling of surreal bliss.

Open every evening from 7.30pm to 11pm, Barbeque has a unique feature which enables diners to choose their ingredients and have the masterchef cook the dish to their liking.
Pick from a wide range of fresh seafood, succulent meats and vegetables, and then proceed to select the marinade or preparation that entices the palate. Watch Cidade’s chefs in the show kitchen create pure deliciousness on the open grills and tandoor.
The chefs at Barbeque have specially crafted a menu of decadent gourmet delights that include signature platters, combo platters, fresh fish specials and innovative fusion delicacies. Seafood lovers can feast on the chef’s special seafood platter which comprises baby lobsters, king prawns, kingfish and the fresh catch of the day. Guest favourites include chilli garlic squid, shrimp caesar salad, cheesy mushroom kebab and sizzlers such as pepper crusted tenderloin steak with shiitake mushroom sauce and cajun spiced tiger prawn sizzler.
A rustic atmosphere awaits at Barbeque, with rugged teak wood chairs and tables, wooden menu boards and counter tops finished with granite. Authentic sigdis and copper sizzler plates are used for the food to mirror the robust flavours of the dishes. The evening air is filled with the sound of sizzling kebabs and delicious aromas waft through.
