Grand Hyatt Goa recently concluded the semifinals of the Hyatt Culinary Challenge – People Cooking for People.

The Hyatt Culinary Challenge is a unique event that brings together individuals from the corporate realm on a common platform to showcase culinary expertise and passion for food in an interactive culinary event.
At the fourth edition of the event held at Grand Hyatt Goa, each corporate participant was paired with a child participant from the NGO Care and Compassion to create a participant choice recipe adjudged by a panel of experts from the culinary sphere. A collaborative effort by all three Hyatt properties in Goa – Grand Hyatt Goa, Park Hyatt Goa and Hyatt Place Goa, the Hyatt Culinary Challenge featured nine participants who came together to showcase their personal cooking expertise.
The participants included chairman Goa Tourism Development Corporation Nilesh Cabral, chairman of GKB Ophthalmics KG Gupta, regional head (Goa, Daman & Diu) for Pernod Ricard India Sunish Cherian, director of SMG Group Mizba Xec, assistant vice president Kineco Kaman Avanish Dwivedi, CEO of Sunset Getaways Lyndon Alves, managing director of Global Enterprises Savio Cruz, CEO of Crosscraft Entertainment Francis Serrao and managing partner of West Coast Shipyard Nigel Cabral.
The judges panel comprised owner of Fiesta restaurant Yellow Mehra, Cashewrina Events’ Rahul Chandawarkar, general manager of Grand Hyatt Goa Jaco Le Roux and photographer and food critic Nolan Mascarehnas, Director of SMG Group Mizba Xec took home the winning trophy for her flavorsome Tirpur Biryani.
