Aerospace and defence manufacturer Kineco Kaman Composites India recently celebrated its fifth anniversary in Goa with a dinner for key customers, suppliers and associates at Cidade de Goa.


It also announced expansion plans at its Pilerne industrial estate in north Goa.
Kineco Kaman is a joint venture between Goa-based Kineco Limited and Kaman Aerospace Group, Inc, a subsidiary of the US-based Kaman Corporation.
Over the last five years it has made its mark in India’s aeropsace and defence industry by supporting the government’s Make in India initiative. Chairman and managing director Shekhar Sardessai said, “While we have come a long way in achieving success over the last five years I believe that we have only scratched the surface, given the potential in the Indian aerospace industry.”
To commemorate the occasion, the company announced its decision to adopt and financially support Hamara School, maentored by Gandhian Mangala Wagle, whose mission is to transform the lives of street children through education, skill development and access to opportunities.
The company’s expansion plans involve an investment of `18 crores. The new facilities are expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2018. It will more than double the company’s production capacity and create employment opportunities for around 100 people.
President and chief executive officer Neal Keating said, “I strongly believe that Kineco Kaman has built a strong foundation which will go a long way in supporting its growth ambitions, and in the process contribute to the economic and employment goals of India.”
