As The Park Hotel Calangute celebrates six years coinciding with Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotel’s 50th anniversary, chairperson Priya Paul opens up about the brand and its newest property in Goa

The Park Group of Hotels has made its name across the globe over its 50 years in the business, with its Goa venture completing six years in Calangute.

Artsy and still young in spirit, the group is gradually mushrooming in cities across India under the

leadership of the dynamic Priya Paul, chairperson of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels.

Started in 1967 in Kolkata, The Park Hotels today employs more than 42000 people, spreading into tea,

hospitality, real estate, shipping, retail as well as financial services.

Paul was recently in Goa to celebrate the anniversary of the group and of The Park Calangute, as well as

launch the group’s second venture here, The Park Baga River Goa.

For the last three decades, she has driven The Park Hotels to the limelight and today it is among the top

hospitality brands in the country. Her focus is simple, ‘anything but ordinary’, and she has incorporated

it well into every establishment she creates.

VIVA GOA speaks to Priya Paul about The Park Hotels and how it has evolved over the last

five decades
