MUTTON PEPPER FRY

MUTTON  PEPPER FRY

Ingredients

Boneless mutton                  400 grams

Chopped onion                           2 big

Slit green chilli                          4 nos

Turmeric powder                ½ teaspoon 

Black pepper powder      1 tablespoon

Fennel powder (badishep) 1 teaspoon

Tomato purée                        2 teaspoons

Chopped coriander leaves   1 tablespoon 

Curry leaves                                  8 nos

Salt to taste

Oil                                    4 tablespoons 

METHOD

1 Marinate mutton with salt, 

ginger-garlic paste and turmeric powder for 20 minutes. Pressure cook to five whistles and set aside with its stock.  

2 Heat oil in a pan, add green chillies, chopped onion, curry leaves, and sauté until onion changes colour. 

3 Add boiled mutton and sauté for five minutes. Add black pepper powder and fennel powder and sauté for another 10 minutes. Add tomato purée and retained mutton stock and bring it to a boil. 

4 Add salt to taste and coriander leaves. 

5 Serve hot.
