Dattaprasad Lawande appointed Asst. Solicitor General of India

Adv Dattaprasad Lawande was recently appointed the Assistant Solicitor General of India at the High Court of Bombay at Goa. Adv Lawande was the Additional Public Prosecutor for the state before the High Court of Bombay at Goa since June 2012. He has also been on the panel of advocates of the Goa State Pollution Control Board.

He has also represented the Goa Housing Board, North Goa Planning and Development Authority and the Goa Industrial Development Corporation before the High Court of Bombay. The state has been represented by him before the Mhadei Water Disputes Tribunal regarding the inter-state river dispute between Goa and Maharashtra since 2002, initially before the High Court of Bombay at Mumbai, and later before the High Court of Bombay at Goa as well as before other courts, including district and sessions courts, judicial magistrate first class and civil judge senior division and also appeared in a few matters before the Supreme Court. 

Adv Lawande has been associated with the chamber of  Advocate General of Goa Atmaram Nadkarni and has assisted him in various important constitutional, contractual, taxation, and other important matters.
