Launched in September 2016 in Aldona, Paradise School cultivates students to explore subjects using the internet and collaborative learning.
Recently the school passed an inspection that made it a Cambridge International Examination school. Its state-of-the-art building that reflects old-world architecture is equipped with high-speed internet and other amenities that bring education up to the requirements of the 21st century.
The school follows a special method, developed by leading educationist Dr Sugata Mitra and his team at Newcastle University in the UK, with whom Paradise School is partnered .
VIVA GOA speaks to the school’s director Shilpa Mehta about the education the institute imparts .

What does education mean?
Education is poised on the brink of great transformation, thanks to technology. Schools will radically shift in the decades to come. Children are way ahead of us when it comes to the future – we need to catch up with them, and design schools with that in mind.

How do you incorporate the demands of a fast-changing world into your curriculum?
We stay extremely flexible. We embrace innovation. Everyone knows they can bring ideas to the table, and if they’re strong enough, they’ll be acted upon.Being non-dogmatic and collaborative really helps.
