President's first official Goa visit

President Ram Nath Kovind recently concluded a two-day official visit to Goa, his first after taking over as the president of the country. During this visit he presided over the 30th annual convocation at Goa University in Bambolim.

The president and First Lady Savita Kovind was hosted by governor Dr Mridula Sinha, and had meetings with chief minister Manohar Parrikar. 

During their visit to Goa, the president and his wife visited Mangueshi Temple and the heritage churches of Old Goa, planted juniper saplings at Raj Bhavan Garden and inspected the 150-man Naval Guard at Dabolim Airport.

President Kovind also met senior judges of the high court, including Justice N N Jamdaar, Justice C V Bhadang, Justice Nutan Sardesai and Justice Prithviraj Chauhan.
