India to roar at Wembley this july

Union Minister of State for Tourism, Shripad Naik set the ball rolling for the ‘India Live’ a live show involving India’s top global performers that will be held at SSE Wembley Arena, London on July 31, 2022. Naik on Sunday celebrated Goa Liberation Day with the launch of the ‘India Live’ website in the presence of MLA of Fatorda and leader of Goa Forward Party Vijai Sardesai, Director of Tourism Menino D’Souza and Domnic Savio Fernandes the Royal representative of HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al Qassmi. The Union Minister Shripad Naik who few months ago took charge as Minister of State (MoS) for the Ministry of Tourism complimented the organizers for this initiative and assured to render full support from his end. Through this medium they are projecting India in UK through entertainment, tourism, cuisine and achievements. Organised with a view of taking India to the world, the 'India Live' business and entertainment show will feature a jam packed entertainment schedule with India’s top performers on the one hand and a two day simultaneous business conclave with the focus completely on tourism on the other. While Goa Forward Party (GFP) President, Vijai Sardesai also complimented the organizers and the initiative taken up by the Goan community in UK. “This website will not only promote the diverse culture of Goa but also tourism and business,” said Sardessai. The main live event is being planned for July 31, 2022 at the SSE Wembley Arena in London, but in the run up to the main event there will be a string of precursor events being planned at Dubai, Kuwait and Delhi that will lead up to the grand finale at Wembley in July. Speaking about the raison d’etre of the event, the organisers GlobeCraffters said that the event is curated to bring together Indians spread across the globe to meet, greet and retreat. "Our vision is to enrich lives and positively impact communities by celebrating the colourful spirit of the region and its people. We are driven by our passion and commitment to give back to the communities by supporting local charities in a generous way here in the UK and India," the directors said in a joint statement. The Sikh community of Goa headed by Harvinder Singh that worked tirelessly as 'covid warriors' during the pandemic were felicitated on the occasion. The Director Globecraftters, Socorro Fernandes said that Globecraftters will lend a helping hand and support them in their future social endeavours. In terms of business, tourism, culture, entertainment ‘India Live’ brand promises to be a global brand to showcase India its potential and soft power in its all glory. The show will have India’s who’s who and will showcase India at its best -- the diaspora and back home and the newly minted diaspora who have now reached far and wide with India’s varied and constantly evolving cuisine, culture, etc. As the brand grows, it will involve more and more allied and connected entities, resulting in business avenues and earnings for the host and the participating businesses and countries. Plans for a business conclave will help participants learn of the potential opportunities and business avenues they could explore that target Indians living in the different countries around the globe as well as to promote generations of diaspora to learn about the country of their origin. Through business presentations the participating stakeholders will offer a glimpse into the different support systems and potential for business growth.
