A popular government that takes power at the state to move the developmental agenda forward, a capital city that emphatically benchmarks itself to the smart city standard, a Goa that continues to shine on human development indicators, and Goans that live up to the ideals of sport and fitness and live by the values and culture which have nurtured them over the ages!

The Transport Sector plays a key role in ushering growth & development and the great thing going for Goa is that we are witnessing a sea change taking place in this sector; from iconic bridges, 4 laning of Highways, Development of National waterways including port infrastructure, railway expansion and a new world class airport at Mopa. Let 2017 be the year where all of us dedicate to transform Goa to a world class tourist and business destination.

More Discipline with youngsters, cleanliness, local Goans doing more local jobs, better traffic sense,, government should encourage kids to play more sports, existing stadium should be utilised fro regular sporting activities.

The changes you look forward to see in Goa in 2017?
For 2017, I wish for a garbage free, corruption free, communal free and traffic free Goa. On the other hand 24/7 power, water, safer roads, Goa-centric education and an evolution in the arts, crafts and culture. Above all that migrants speak in Konkani and assimilate to Goan culture. All this said, this is wishful thinking. Goa will stay the same unless the people of Goa shake off their inherited susegado attitude, stand up and get on the streets for change
