Religions help to find self–happiness by finding one’s unity with total existence. All religious institutions are built on this basic necessity.

There are people who do not believe in religion. But there is no one who does not try to find happiness by finding oneself as part of the whole. Even those who deny God find some other general principle within which man has to find his placement and be happy.

For example, the Marxists do not believe in God, but they want man to identify himself with society to have a happy life. In the place of God they have society as the universal principle. For atheists, intellect is the most general principle man has to rely on. The dictate of reasoning should be accepted.
