TJSB Sahakari Bank opens branch in Vasco

Pioneer in cooperative banking with multi-state operations, the TJSB Sahakari Bank Ltd inaugurated its 119th branch at Vasco recently. This is the bank’s fifth branch in Goa. Located at Joshi Building, it was inaugurated by chairman C Nandgopal Menon.


Vice chairman Pradeep Thakur, directors Dilip Sule, Madhukar Khutade, Anuradha Apte, Kalpana Railkar, managing director and CEO Sunil Sathe, Goa regional head Arun Bhat, chairman of Joshi Group Paresh Joshi, vice chairman of Goa Sewage Corporation Sanjiv Desai and managing director of Raj Housing Sandip Nigale were present.

The bank has completed business of `13,000 crores through branches located at in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa and Gujarat. It has earned a net profit of `100 crores during 2015-2016. Chairman C Menon reviewed its journey and described its services across four states.

Managing Director and CEO Sunil Sathe said, “TJSB Sahakari Bank Ltd has become the first cooperative bank in the country to provide unified payment interface through the National Payment Corporation of India. With this, TJSB Bank will provide all the necessary services not only for the next generation but for the next generation as well.“

Vasco branch manager Neha Chodankar proposed a vote of thanks. Key industrialists and entrepreneurs from Vasco were present at the occasion.

TJSB bank’s branches are located at Panjim, Mapusa , Margao and Vasco.
