Ave Maria Joy of Giving Foundation turns 3!
The Ave Maria Joy of Giving Foundation, Majorda, recently celebrated its third anniversary. Chairman Oscar Gonsalves and its board of trustees organised an event attended by chief guest Archbishop Patriarch of Goa and Daman His Grace Rev. Filipe Neri Ferrao. The Foundation felicitated eight meritorious students from across Goa.
The Foundation also felicitated mentor at Abyankar IAS Academy in Pune Aashay Abhyankar; South Goa collector Agnelo Fernandes and former engineer and agriculturist Vincent Vaz for their outstanding contributions to society.
Gonsalves, whose family founded the Ave Maria Joy of Giving Foundation, said, “We wanted our parents legacy of joyful giving to be passed on to the generations. We started the Foundation in their memory and today our children have understood the value of generosity; they are taking forward the teachings of their grandparents and making a difference to the society.”
His Grace Rev. Ferrao congratulated the Foundation members for their excellent work . He also released the current issue of the its quarterly magazine ‘Education Challenge – Goa’ dedicated to the Indian Defence Forces.
The Foundation was established by the Gonsalves family in honour of their late parents Joao Antonio and Ana Julia Gonsalves.
