Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-op Society turns 25!

Multipurpose Co-op Society completed 25 years in August with the launch of a
special insurance scheme and online fixed deposit service.
The foundation was laid by bank chairman and editor of Tarun
Bharat Kiran D Thakur. With the strong support of its customers, the society is
active in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa and Delhi with 213 branches. The journey
started with the sole purpose of helping small industries and businesses.
Lokmanya’s new online fixed deposit will help customers complete
transactions from the comfort of their homes at any time of the day while
enjoying the best interest rates.
Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-op Society Ltd also introduced a special coronavirus
insurance scheme called Corona Kavach to provide health cover to the public.
Thakur said the scheme was launched jointly with IffcoTokio
General Insurance Company Ltd. People who have enrolled in this scheme can
claim a benefit of up to `5 lakh for hospitalisation if they are
COVID-19 positive. The premium starts at just `248.
Customers with existing health issues can also buy the health plan.
