Victor Exotica in Candolim is now Radisson
International hotel chain Carlson Rezidor Hotels expanded its presence in Goa with the launch of its new Radisson Hotel in Candolim. The 80-room five-star property belongs to the Alcon Victor Group which owns and operates four hospitality ventures in the state.
Chairman and Managing Director of the Alcon Victor Group Victor Albuquerque said, “The reason for
tie-up with Carlson Rezidor is to upscale its presence in the hospitality industry where clientele is brand conscious. The Radisson name is well-known and ensures easy recognition in the market. It also implies better quality of services and standardisation of facilities and will result in better tariffs.”
CEO of Carlson Rezidor Hotels, South Asia, Raj Rana said, “Rezidor has been in India for a long time, and with 110 hotels is a firm believer in the country’s tourism potential. The group is headquartered in Minneapolis, USA, and has five hotels in the state. Goa’s future airport at Mopa is one of the reasons for the international chain to expand in the state.” Director of Alcon Victor Varun Albuquerque said that the new Radisson would fill a five-star void in North Goa which has few luxury hotels compared to South Goa where there are about 20
five-star hotels. In the domestic segment, the hotel caters to tourists from the metros and its international clientele is through charters, he said.
The new hotel in Candolim is the second Radisson of the Alcon Victor group after Radisson Blu in Cavelossim.
