It was glamour all over as Goa’s first and only lifestyle magazine VIVA GOA celebrated its sixth anniversary in May, with the release of its bumper issue by additional solicitor general of India Atmaram Nadkarni, celebrity cricketer Mohinder Amarnath, ex chief of Indian Navy Admiral Sureesh Mehta, president of Tara Jewels Sunayanaa Vora and director of Digilink Nitin Kunkolienkar.

The evening witnessed a gathering of Goa’s elite - from politicians to business barons to friends and well wishers - to share in the cheer and joy of the magazine.

One of India’s best stand-up comedians Sourabh Pant entertained the guests with his witty humour during his performance. In his welcome address, VIVA GOA editor Kedar Dhume narrated his experience of interviewing Sachin Tendulkar at the cricketers palacial home in Mumbai.

 The cover story featured insightful information on Sachin Tendulkar’s personal and professional life. The cricket legend, who traces his roots to Goa through his family deities, shares a close bond with the state spiritually and personally. The story includes an exclusive interview where the sports superstar talks about memories close to his heart, which he shares for the first time with the media.
