The Serendipity Arts Trust told a tale of inspiration with installations all over Panaji, and enthusiasts are eager for the festival to return with more

Serendipity Arts Trust (SAT) is an initiative for the promotion of creativity and imagination in arts and culture headed by chairman of Hero Corporate Service Sunil Munjal. Its art festival encouraged the evolving arts community, to promote a culture of patronage and create value for the arts, thus ensuring India’s place in the global cultural dialogue.

Serendipity Arts Festival held from December 16 to 23 celebrated diversity in art with a special focus on performance, visual and culinary arts. To make the platform accessible, a majority of these programmes were free and required basic registration.

VIVA GOA speaks to its founder Sunil Munjal about his plans for the festival.

How did the idea of the Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF) come about?
Many art festivals in our country cater to specific art forms. Yet, India lacks a single inclusive art festival which allows audiences to experience and enjoy these various art forms, interact with each other, and participate as new languages and forms evolve. Throughout the Serendipity Arts Festival, we tried to make art inclusive, immersive and accessible to all.
