Sunaparanta hosts Sensorium event
Sunaparanta, Goa Centre for the Arts, is proud to present Sensorium, an annual festival of art, literature, music and theatre. Founded by Dattaraj Salgaocar, Director Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi and Executive Producer Isheta Salgaocar, Sensorium is being held from December 14 until February 29, 2016 at its premises near Lar de Estudantes, Altinho, Panaji.
A constellation of Indian and international contemporary visual artists from the star stables of Nature Morte, Photoink, Vadehra Art Gallery, Lakeeren Gallery, Experimenter and Jhaveri Contemporary will be displayed at the gallery.
Sensorium titled ‘Love’ will respond to the idea in various avatars, a visual spiral that takes audiences along a beautiful, unpredictable, extraordinary, painful, frightful journey. The gallery will come alive with installations, sculptures, paintings, videos, and mixed media work by some of the world’s most celebrated Indian artists which include curator Leandré D’Souza. The performance art chapters for Sensorium will be curated by globally feted performance artist Nikhil Chopra along with Madhavi Gore and Romain Loustau all of the Heritage Hotel.
Edition Love will host collateral events as part of its programme.
This includes the hugely successful Shanghvi Salon, featuring conversations with artists Bharti Kher, and Anju and Atul Dodiya. The annual lecture will be delivered by Professor Vidya Dehejia of Columbia University.
