Prominent design artists Gunjan Gupta & Paul Mathieu showcase their exquisite works at the Still Life exhibition at Sunaparanta in Panaji

In a first, Sunaparanta organised a show to honour design objects as art form and practice. Two leading international design artists, Gunjan Gupta and Paul Mathieu, came together for the astonishing new show at Sunaparanta-Goa Centre for the Arts in Panaji, entitled ‘Still Life’. The design showcase was inaugurated recently and will go on till December 5, 2018.

Sunaparanta director Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi said, “I was lucky that Gupta and Mathieu opened up their works for me to show at Sunaparanta. ‘Still Life’ celebrates their individual and peerless design idiom. Gupta is flamboyant and audacious. Mathieu, meanwhile, is a sly, tender voice. While a companionable chiaroscuro, their design sensibilities are utterly unlike each other, and so profoundly compelling in their own right, it is impossible not to experience awe and silence when encountered together.”
