International Badminton Star

Anura Prabhudesai is making the state and her parents proud with her achievements in the field of badminton. Currently training at Tata-Padukone Academy in Bangalore, Anura was selected to represent India in the Asia Junior Badminton Championship at Bangkok, Thailand in the U-17 age group.

She represented India at the Tata Open India International Challenge 2015 in Mumbai and reached the Top 16 of the Women Singles and Women Doubles Seniors level. She also represented India in the junior international tournament five times, and in the main round reached the top eight in Women Singles in 2015.

Anura is ranked sixth in singles senior level and fifth in the doubles senior level in India.
