Budding designer Anusha Shaikh gave children with disabilities an opportunity to walk the ramp
Runway Inspiration, a dazzling charity show in aid of Chetna Charitable Trust, Curchorem by budding designer Anusha Sheikh, gave fashion a new face in Goa when she put special children in the spotlight at Zuri Hotel & Resort, Goa. The fashion show was presented by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation Limited (GTDC).
The show was brillantly conducted, where children with disabilities from Chetna Charitable Trust got an opportunity to walk the ramp for probably the first time in India. Shaikh had an exciting line up of garments for the show categorised as The Kids Range, Indo-Westerns and Ethnics.
The children’s range had a set of 15 designs, while the Indo-Western outfits each had a traditional twist. The last sequence featured traditional Indian outfits including a bridal range.
The fashion show with a cause was designed exclusively by Sheikh, 21, who developed her label, Anusha’s, with a style of her own, reflecting the authentic traditions of Indian raiment in a contemporary vocabulary with a diverse mix of experimental styles.
GTDC supported the event to create awareness for the cause. Event partners were Viva Goa, Zuri Hotels & Resorts, WHP jewelers, Kiswa Salon, Chetna School, Vinsan World, Shammi photography, Prasad Panker photography and DJ Moin.
