Oliver Sean has come a long way with his music. He’s been an MTV Europe Music Awards nominee, and has featured on VH1 Top 10 and Top 40. The Italian-Portuguese with Goan heritage found favour with Rolling Stone magazine for his Stripped Down tour

Goa has produced some fine musicians over the years. Music like ‘Maria Pitashey’ and others composed by Goan song writers have traversed boundaries, and still reign as favourites. But sometimes in the nostalgia of cherishing the old, we forget the new. Singers who reached great heights have even passed away unnoticed. Now we have another unsung artist of Goan origin taking the west by storm with his songs.

Bearing Italian-Portuguese Goan heritage, Oliver Sean began singing at the age of four, strumming the guitar at eight and composing lyrics at 11. Based between the UK and India, he today owns two recording studios — one in Goa, and the other in Dubai. His discography with WOA Entertainment began in 1999 with his single ‘There She Is Again’. Sean is the founder of WOA International, a music company that promotes international independent music in India and Dubai. This label is also an official media member of the Grammy Awards, and has had its artists nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards and featured on Vh1 Top 10
.
Sean has held tours across England, New York, Costa Rica, Dubai and more. Rolling Stone magazine said his Stripped Down tour was “like the Eagles have hired Jack Johnson for some lessons on lightening up”. He recently had a headline performance in Goa at the 9th Annual WOA International Music Festival in association with international music channel 9XO.
