Prost to Austria Day!

Honourary Consul General of Austria in Goa Dattaraj V Salgaocar hosted an evening to celebrate Austrian National Day in the presence of distinguished guests at the sprawling lawns of his home at Vasco. Ambassador of Austria to India Brigitte Öppinger -Walchshofer said she was privileged to be her country’s ambassador to a land of diverse cultures and heritage, and which is on the forefront of development.

Salgaocar added that he was honored to host Öppinger and looked forward to her tenure to boost ties between India and Austria.

Town and country planning minister Vijay Sardesai, chief secretary Dharmendra Sharma, former chief minister Francisco Saldanha, former Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry presidents Narayan Bandekar and Nitin Kunkolienker as well as a host of distinguished guests were present.

Vice president of Sharada Mandir trust Dipti Salgaocar was seen greeting all guests personally.
