Beauty, Brains And Bollywood
The multi-faceted supermodel-influencer-philanthropist Elena Fernandes takes a break from her hectic life in London to amp it up with the drama of Hindi films
Her exotic features make her a dream addition to any magazine, fashion show and now movie. Drawing the best bits of her Goan and Peruvian genes, Elena Fernandes – who was born and raised in London – is etching her name in the reels of Bollywood.
It all began with a 12-page editorial in Vogue India, which catapulted her into the maze of Indian fashion with campaigns for prestigious brands such as Westside, Ajio Life, Zivame and others. She consistently appears in top Indian publications, including FHM, Maxim India, Harper’s Bazaar and Cosmopolitan. Bollywood called with Kapoor & Sons, a box office hit produced by Karan Johar, where she acted alongside stars including Rishi Kapoor, Fawad Khan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. Since then, the supermodel and influencer has appeared in Why Cheat India with Emraan Hashmi and has recently wrapped up filming for Badla with Amitabh Bhachchan and Housefull 4 with Akshay Kumar. While fame chases her, she remains firmly rooted to her principles, mainly as a voice for animals and children. She raises awareness for numerous children’s charities and is actively involved with talks at schools for PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals), WFA (World For All animal care & adoptions), US charity Sightlife and her own iAmChange.
