As Goa’s No.1 Marathi newspaper Tarun Bharat celebrates its centenary this year, VIVA GOA speaks to Editor-in-chief & chairman of Lokmanya Multipurpose Cooperative Society - KIRAN THAKUR about their historic journey
In 1919 Belgaum, Baburaoji Thakur started what progressed to be today’s No. 1 Marathi newspaper in Goa: Tarun Bharat. The son took the father’s legacy and built it into a brand that is well known and has a strong hold among the Marathi-speaking populace.
