10th edition of TechFest – Goa held
The 10th edition of TechFest Goa, jointly organised by the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) Goa Chapter and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Mumbai Chapter was recently held at Cidade de Goa. It is an annual event for professionals in the heating, ventilation, air–conditioning and refrigeration and user industries (HVAC&R;).
The event was attended by approximately 100 engineers, quality control professionals and technocrats from the pharmaceutical and hospitality sector in Goa, besides several specialists and technical experts from the HVAC&R industry from across India and abroad.
This year’s focus was on ‘Space Pressurization: Concepts and Practices’, which was presented by Dr Jim Coogan, an ASHRAE distinguished lecturer from Siemens Building Technologies: Chicago, USA. The presentation was interspersed with relevant product presentations from industry leaders like GMP Technical Solutions Pvt Ltd who were the principle sponsors for the event, System Air India Pvt Ltd, Samsung India Electronics Pvt Ltd and Mitsubishi Electric Pvt Ltd.
ISHRAE’s mission is to enable professionals associated with the sector to stay abreast with the latest global trends in the industry and grow technical knowledge and skills through annual events like TechFest, workshops, panel discussions and publications besides conducting educational programmes featuring top speakers from the sector.
