1st Matanhy Saldanha Memorial Lecture on Oct 18 at Kala Academy
The First Matanhy Saldanha Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Noble Peace Prize Laureate and Padma Vibhushan Awardee Dr Rajendra K. Pachauri, who will speak on the topic of ‘Environment: A gift from the Creator to be sustainably used for future generations.’
It will take place at the AC Auditorium, Kala Academy, Panaji on October 18 at 5pm. Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will also release a book, ‘To Live is to Love: The Life and Legacy of Matanhy Saldanha’ by author Diana Pinto. There will also be a panel discussion on ‘Environment degradation: This far and no further’. The programme will end with an entertainment programme consisting of mandos and songs in tribute to Matanhy Saldanha and his pursuit of the cause of the environment.
