Rocco’s Dolce Goa
Celebrity chef David Rocco was recently in town to film for his popular travel and food show Dolce India on Fox Traveller. He discusses the Goa Carnaval and what he loves about Goan food
While scouting for locations for the second season of the India edition of his show Dolce India, David Rocco found himself in sunny Goa in March last year, where he discovered the unique flavours of Goan cuisine.
He returned this year to film four episodes of his show, which has earlier featured Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur and Chennai. His first stop was the state capital Panaji, where he was just in time to be a part of the carnival celebrations. “We’re doing something with the carnival for the show. I’m also visiting a couple of Goan homes to get a taste of the authentic carnival flavours and experiences while I’m here. We also intend to visit places in South Goa and North Goa,” says Rocco.
