Saina Nehwal releases My Take on Sports
My Take on Sports by Goan sports author Rohit Bhandiye was released recently by international badminton star Saina Nehwal in Bangalore. Nehwal has also written a foreword for the book.
The book deals with articles on popular sports such as cricket, football and hockey, as well as tennis, badminton, Formula 1, wrestling, chess and swimming. Important sportspersons from different disciplines have been discussed along with their role during their active period.
Cricket is undoubtedly India’s most watched sport, but the book has covered a wide range of other sports also followed in India. Multi-sport events such as the Olympic Games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Afro Asian Games, Lusofonia Games and National Games have found space here. There is also a special section on Goa in Sports which has articles related to local sports and sportspersons.
