Bollywood Badshah’s IFFI affair
Chief minister Manohar Parrikar’s official dinner after the opening ceremony of the International Film Festival of India 2017 (IFFI) was a grand affair.
Organised on the picturesque Panjim Gymkhana lawns opening to the recently renovated Campal promenade, it was attended by luminaries from the film fraternity as well as Goa’s crème de la crème.
The highlight of the evening was a scintillating musical performance by legendary singer Khailash Kher and his troupe.
The star attraction was the presence of Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan. Famous playback singer Kailash Kher invited the superstar to come on stage and sang his famous ‘Saiya’ and ‘Chak de phatte’. King Khan danced and enthralled the special invitees.
Celebrities that graced the occasion were governor Dr Mridula Sinha, Union minister of Information and Broadcasting Smriti Irani, film personalities Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Prasun Joshi, Subhash Ghai, former Tennis star Vijay Amritraj and others.
