Goa Food & Hospitality expo set for August

Media Promotions Pvt Ltd is hosting the fourth annual Goa Food & Hospitality Expo this month at the fully air-conditioned Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Bambolim.

This exhibition helps the hospitality industry gear up for the upcoming tourist season. Exhibiting companies display cutting-edge products catering to hotels, restaurants, cafés, bakeries, fast food outlets, specialty retail, crockery, cutlery, glassware, home bakers, home stays, manufacturers, etc.

The profile of exhibitors includes commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration, tea and coffee equipment and appliances, food and beverage, furniture and fixtures, electronics and technology, housekeeping, etc. More than 500 products from various national and international brands will be on display. Having the show at this time of year allows buyers and sellers to organise themselves for the upcoming season.

The event gives Goa’s hospitality industry an opportunity to stay abreast of the latest trends. It also provides a business platform to the Goan community to identify opportunities, share experiences, and build networks with fellow members and exhibitors from around the globe.

One of the proposed events to be held concurrently with the exhibition is a first-of-its-kind Goa Chef Challenge in three categories – professional, home bakers and institutional, recognising and acknowledging talent.

All participating individuals compete against the best in the industry. A panel of judges select the winners based on several criteria. Other proposed highlights include culinary demos and interactions, product launches, seminars, workshops and networking activities.
