Manipal Hospitals Goa launches super speciality clinic in Margao
Manipal Hospitals Goa recently unveiled a super speciality out-patient clinic in Margao.
Renowned surgeon Dr V V Kamat inaugurated the clinic with hospital director of Manipal Hospitals Goa Manish Trivedi; medical superintendent Dr Dinesh B Bammidi; physician and proprietor of KCRC’s Horizon ICU & Hospital Dr Deepak Kamat; consultant for Bone Marrow Transplantation, Hematology, Hemato-Oncology Dr Mahadeva Swamy B C; consultant neurologist Dr SafaI S Shetty; consultant (Radiation Oncology) Cancer Care, Dr Gunjan Baijal; consultant surgical Oncology, Cancer Care Dr Eugene Rent; consultant cardiologist Dr Sabyasachi Mukhopadhyay and consultant-joint replacement surgeon Dr Rohan Desai.
Trivedi said, “There will be regular monthly OPDs. The centre will also facilitate appointments and registrations for patients. The Manipal Hospitals Goa’s outreach clinic will be a single point for South Goa patients and will bring the rich lineage of Manipal closer to needy patients.”
Head of Oncology Department and senior consultant Oncology surgeon at Manipal Hospitals Goa Dr Shekhar Salkar, said, “We are happy to offer a wide range of cancer, cardiac and orthopaedic consultations for the people of South Goa. As the incidences of these lifestyle diseases are growing it is important to go for timely check-ups.”
The OPD clinic will offer consultations for bone marrow transplantation, hemato-oncology, radiation oncology and surgical oncology for cancer care. In addition, cardiac and orthopaedic consultations will also be offered by the expert doctors of Manipal Hospitals Goa.
