Dandiya Goa style
Kala Academy was a riot of colours as people decked up in their traditional best to celebrate the last night of Navratri in style.
The evening began with garba (dance with hand and feet movement) which saw some elaborate performances by some of the dancers. The most amazing part of the evening was that age was not a restriction, with everyone from the young children to the old dancing in equal numbers and often with equal gusto!
Eventually, the dancing gave way to dandiya and what followed were elaborate steps as people who were dancing twirled and clashed sticks in perfect synchronisation with the peppy beats provided by DJ Sulaiman. While people took their breaks to rejuvenate, the energy on the dance floor did not subside, as people continued to dance to their heart's content.
