GOLD FOR LEELA AT CULINARY CHALLENGE OF GOA

The Culinary Challenge of Goa was recently organised by Food and Hospitality World in association with the Culinary Forum of Goa (CFG). The Leela Goa were winners in the overall category and was the only hotel to bag two gold medals in the competition.

 

The challenge was open to all the star category hotels and restaurants of Goa. The chocolate sculpture and chocolate-making competition was held first. The pastry team from The Leela Goa headed by the executive pastry chef Pratik Roy and junior pastry chef Arijit Hazra were the winners of the competition. They created a hand-made four-foot chocolate sculpture with theme beauty of nature. The sculpture was made of dark chocolates and strawberry pralines with Belgian coverture. 

On the concluding day, a vegetable and fruit carving competition, alongside a salad with dressing contest was conducted. Chefs Farid Pathan and Nishant Diwakar who represented The Leela Goa were judged the winners in this category.
