Republic Day celebrations at MPT
“Mormugao Port Trust has registered the highest growth rate amongst all major ports in cargo throughput for the 1st half of the year ending 30/09/14 by registering 22.3 per cent growth,” said Chairman of Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) Cyril C. George at the Port’s Republic Day celebration at the MPT grounds. He further said that a new Master Plan of the Port has been prepared and finalized.”
The Chairman informed the audience of MPT that the port had registered an operating profit during the last quarter as against loss in the past two years and that a number of new projects were in the pipeline and the follow-up action for implementation of various projects was being taken as per the timeline stipulated by the Government. “We are able to progress only by the support and cooperation of each employee of the port,” he said.
