Magsons’ cancer hair donation drive
Owner of Magsons Supermarket Andrea Maganlal recently hosted a ‘Show your care… donate your hair’ initiative to help people suffering from cancer.
The initiative was brought to life with Dr Anand Parihar, managing trustee of Mumbai-based NGO Cope with Cancer. The organisation works with the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai and other cancer research and hospital centres around India to alleviate the sufferings of patients.
They observed that cancer patients suffered from low self-esteem when losing their hair due to chemotherapy treatments. This seemingly insignificant situation was reported to affect their recovery and fight against cancer.
