RICHARD PEREIRA -  online fish marketer.

Hailing from a traditional fishing family, he assures a fresh catch of every variety of fish through his online store Vasco-based Richard Pereira, a third year BBA student at Deepvihar College, took the dive to follow his passion in the family business which started three generations ago

He officially launched his website on his birthday in August.
The website, which also has an Android app, is an online store that sells fish every day. Richard believes that people can eliminate the cost of travel and middle men by shopping with, thereby reducing their expense on one of Goa’s staple foods. The fish is blast frozen within the hour of the catch, meaning Fishopper products could be fresher than most fish available in the wet market. Delivery, while restricted to Vasco for now, takes place within three hours, with no extra charges for cleaning, cutting and shipping.
Within just two months, he has had hundreds of very satisfied customers who keep coming back for more.

How was born…

It was something I always wanted to do.  After seeing how Snapdeal, Myntra and other sites sell products online, I thought why not sell fish online? This online retailing has sidelined the middleman making the produce cheaper and directly available to customers.  
I always like to think out of the box, and that’s how and the app was born. Both are user friendly, especially designed for customers.
